I want to share this. A short story of justice...
Here it goes:
Alena is a member of conservation IG, speakers team. Her roles and responsiblities is to invite speaker and ensure that Speaker gets to the venue.
Speaker was successfully invited and alena had made the neccessary arrangement with Dr. Chua (ADVISOR). After which, organizer took over other things else. He was, Jxxxxx.
Email was only send 50 mins before the talk and the turnout rate was below 15. Alena wasn't even expected to attend the talk btw, but she did & even pack up for Jxxxxx after the talk!
Read the following mails aftermath:

I suggest we hold back for the time being as there are already quite a few talks coming up in July. We can try to invite Joe back sometime later in the year. I am puzzled by the extremely poor turnout. I will see the turnout for the rest of talks and see how best to try to avoid this happening again. I think this is bad for RP and probably also a waste of time and effort for the speaker as well as the organizers.

I agree with what Dr. Chua say. I was very disappointed by the attendance also. Beside, I was very worried how Mr. Joe Lim feel too. Maybe we can send more reminder mails regarding the details of the talk. Because there is only one email send 50 mins before the talk after the previou’s one week ago.

Everyone is not happy with the way the talks have turned out. So, in future talks, you could help us out by informing us in advance and sending reminder emails on our behalf, telling your peers about the existence of such a CE activity.

Finally....Justice was uphold by our dearly advisor, Dr. Chua!! Here is his respond to that bastard who push his blame on me.
Hi Jxxxxx,
Students are not able to send email to all students, hence staff will have to do it. Alena has done her part by inviting the speaker and also ensuring the speaker gets to the venue. As the CE organizer, try to send the reminder email 1-2 days before actual CE talk. Anyway, lets put aside what has happened and move on. We will discuss again when to invite Mr Joe Lim probably sometime later in the year.

I want to thank Dr. Chua to stand up for my unjustice! At least he is able to judge accordingly. Stop denying your mistake mind you. I'm sorry but will not hesitate to suggest my withdrawal of partnership with you if it happen again.
